Delete PhotoDesk account data
The Android app works without an account; the Windows app asks for a free sign-in. If you chose Google sign-in to link a Google Play purchase across Android and Windows, you can delete that PhotoDesk account in the app or request deletion here. This page also explains how to remove optional Google Drive backups, and covers accounts created for the older cloud-photo services.
What deleting your account does
This deletes your PhotoDesk account: the sign-in you also use in PhotoDesk for Windows and on photodesk2026.com, its Pro link and any Pro given to it, your invite code and the bonus photos you earned. Photos and data on this phone stay. A Google Play purchase or subscription is not cancelled: to use Lifetime again, sign in later with the same Google account; cancel Monthly in Google Play.
Kept, as small hashed records without your email: the proof needed to re-link the same Google buyer's Play purchase, the proof that stops an invite or a device from being used twice, and the inviter's lifetime invite count. Friends keep the rewards they already earned.
Delete a Google license account in PhotoDesk
This deletes the Firebase sign-in account, account-linked license and profile records, and raw purchase tokens stored by the license service. It signs the device out. Original photos and local organization data are unaffected.
A Google Play purchase is not cancelled by deleting a PhotoDesk account. It remains restorable from Google Play; linking it again requires the same Google purchaser. Deleting an account does not erase your Google account.
- Open Full version in PhotoDesk for Android.
- In Pro on Android and Windows, tap Delete PhotoDesk account.
- Confirm, then sign in with the same Google account to verify ownership.
- On Windows: open Account, choose Delete this login, and confirm. This deletes the same PhotoDesk login for the Android app and this website too, and removes the Windows activity record.
Remove PhotoDesk backups from your Google Drive
If you turned on Google Drive backup, the copies are stored in a hidden PhotoDesk folder in your own Google Drive. They are not part of the PhotoDesk account above, and deleting the account does not remove them. Remove them either way:
To also disconnect PhotoDesk from your Google account, remove it under Google Account, Security, Your connections to third-party apps and services. Removing backups never deletes photos or people stored on your phone.
- In PhotoDesk: open the Google Drive backup settings and tap Remove Drive backups, then confirm.
- In Google Drive: open drive.google.com, then Settings (gear), Manage apps, PhotoDesk, Delete hidden app data.
If you still use a version before 1.9.0
Once accepted, this authenticated request immediately freezes new PhotoDesk uploads and online writes and signs the app out. Permanent cleanup across Supabase, Wasabi, and Google Drive normally finishes within about two hours.
If PhotoDesk cannot safely access tagged Drive Vault files, it does not schedule deletion. Reconnect Google Drive in PhotoDesk, then try the request again.
- Open Profile.
- Open Online services.
- Tap Remove PhotoDesk online data and confirm.
Request account deletion without the app
Email info@photodesk2026.com from the address registered to your PhotoDesk account. Include the words "PhotoDesk account deletion". We will verify ownership and complete the request within 30 days.
Never send your password, six-digit backup PIN, recovery key, or phone unlock credential. PhotoDesk support will never ask for them.
What is deleted
- Invitations: your invite code, invitation receipts, reward totals and request counts.
- For optional Google Drive backups: the copies in your own Google Drive, when you remove them with the steps above. They are stored in your Google account, not on a PhotoDesk server, so only you (or Google) can delete them.
- For a Google license account: the Firebase sign-in identity and associated profile, shared entitlement, raw purchase-token records and request-limit records.
- PhotoDesk online-service, Cloud AI editor, and cloud-backup preferences.
- PhotoDesk activity summaries and account-linked feedback conversations.
- Privacy-minimal daily Cloud AI quota counters.
- PhotoDesk device, restore-point, catalog, recovery and PIN-verification records.
- Private encrypted PhotoDesk backup objects stored in Wasabi.
- Any private owner Cloud Photos catalog and encrypted Wasabi objects.
- Every accessible encrypted PhotoDesk Drive Vault file, plus its Supabase catalog, saved Google connection, OAuth state, and encrypted authorization-token records.
- The shared Supabase sign-in identity when it is not also used by Scenario Study Hub.
What may be retained
- A PhotoDesk-created Google Drive folder may remain because it can contain unrelated personal files added by the user; the deletion process removes tagged PhotoDesk Vault files, not the folder or other contents.
- Google Play purchases (the PhotoDesk full version, or the earlier PhotoDesk Supporter purchase) are controlled by Google and are not PhotoDesk account data. They stay restorable from Google Play after PhotoDesk online data is deleted.
- If the same sign-in has Scenario Study Hub profile or progress data, the shared identity is kept so PhotoDesk deletion cannot erase Scenario data. All PhotoDesk-owned online data is still removed.
- Minimal records may be retained when required for fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance.
- For invitations: small hashed records that stop one device or Google account from redeeming more than once, and the number of rewarded invitations, are kept to prevent abuse. They contain no email address or photo data.
- The Google license service retains only small hashed receipt, Google-owner and deleted-account proofs for fraud prevention and safe purchase restoration. These proofs contain no raw purchase token, email address or photo data.
What is unaffected
Remote deletion cannot remove original photos, videos, or PhotoDesk data stored only on your device. Uninstall PhotoDesk or clear its app data separately if you also want to remove local app data.
